At Hypoglycemia Awareness, our mission is to raise public awareness about hypoglycemia: how to recognize it and respond effectively when it happens. Our goal is to educate and empower communities with the knowledge needed to manage this critical condition.
Hypoglycemia Awareness has established itself as an unbiased, independent authority among various US stakeholders in severe hypoglycemia treatment. We have hosted key events, engaged in community activities, and conducted important research. Our commitment to education is demonstrated through our survey of parents of children with Type 1 diabetes on Glucagon Kit usage and our collaborations on clinical guidelines for hypoglycemia. We have also developed a comprehensive “Literature Online Library” (LOL) of scientific articles for stakeholder use and collected valuable anecdotal patient data on hypoglycemia management.
Our social media presence on Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook has fostered a strong sense of community, highlighted by our successful #ShowMeYourG campaign. Additionally, we have presented our findings at major academic conferences, showcasing our expertise in hypoglycemia awareness.
At Hypoglycemia Awareness, we are committed to making a difference in the lives of those affected by hypoglycemia through education, community engagement, and innovative support initiatives. Together, we can create a more informed and supportive community.
